Let’s turn this economy around!

Even though the tax credit expired, buyers can still find ways to off set the costs of buying a home.  Seller incentives with closing costs, up front mi insurance and buy downs are a few. Let’s get creative and help people buy and sell homes and we can turn this economy around!

Tick Tock Tick Tock….

The clock is ticking…. and buyers are racing to beat it!  Have you picked out your home yet?  It’s getting down to the wire and decent properties are scarce.  Hurry April 30 is fast approaching!!!!

Tax Credit Deadline

With the clock ticking on the tax credit deadline, buyers are frantically scrambling around for a home that is not a short sale or foreclosure. What’s left?  Right now if you’re thinking about selling your home, you could almost name your price!  This may be the last week to do so.  HURRY!!!!!!!!

Are You Ready For Some Football?

I guess I’m not really a true blue football fan because I don’t even know who’s playing on Sunday. Sad, but true! The whole Super Bowl Sunday thing is all about the party, isn’t it? The Patriots are not in it so I’m not really rooting for one team or the other. I’ll probably watch it just so I can join in on conversations about it on Monday morning. Have fun, be safe and may the best team win!

The best real estate agents in the industry!

I feel like a proud parent when I think of my agents. They are the best!  Last week we participated in a week of activities that included “popping by” some of their favorite clients to say hello and offer their help and input. I am amazed at the response from my agents and their clients. The internet is an easy way to communicate with people. There’s no commitment on either side and it’s easy to delete a message or not respond at all. but to actually stop by someone’s home with gift in hand to say hi, how are you doing?  that takes a real commitment to our profession. My agents really care for the people they serve. And I couldn’t be prouder! Feel free to comment.

What’s all the commotion about?

If you haven’t been “pop-by’d” by one our agents than you won’t know what’s going on. We are all getting out to visit our current clients, past clients, business partners and friends and family members to show our enthusiasm for the market. There are still 8000 reasons to buy a home if you’re a first time buyer and 6500 reasons for existing homeowners to do the same. And interest rates are still at an all time low.  If you want someone to “pop-by” and let you in on what’s happening in the market, just give us a call.

Making Home Affordable-Foreclosure Avoidance

Under the  Making Home Affordable program, several options are being made available to homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgage to help keep them in their homes or be able to avoid foreclosure through short sale or deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. This is a giant step in the right direction to help our housing market and our economy recover.   Indeed, there has been no one who has been unaffected by the recession and I applaud Ben Bernanke for his decisions on keeping this country’s  financial market  from collapsing. There has been a lot of criticism about his leadership but it takes a strong person to take the actions that he did and stand by those actions even in the face of losing credibility.  The road to recovery will be long and bumpy but I truly believe that we are headed in the right direction.
